OUR EMPLOYER PARTNER
TheirCare Park Ridge provides Outside School Hours Care for primary school-aged children, with a strong focus on creating a safe, fun and engaging environment before school, after school and during school holidays.
TheirCare is very community-focused and works to support the whole child, helping children build confidence, curiosity, teamwork, leadership and personal growth through play and meaningful activities.
Their programs include a variety of creative, active and educational experiences, with activities designed specifically around the interests of primary school-aged children. They also place a strong focus on healthy and culturally diverse food, sustainability and providing children with different resources and play opportunities through initiatives such as their Toy Library.
TheirCare educators are supported through training and mentoring, with a strong emphasis on being caring, open, engaged and genuinely involved with the children.
THE COMMITMENT
Part-time work, minimum of 15 hours per week for 18 months
Alternate Morning and Afternoon shifts: 7am - 9am and 2:30pm to 5:30pm or 3pm to 6pm.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Provide fun and engaging activities for primary school age children
Help design a calendar of inclusive, exciting, and engaging program activities
Ensure a safe, welcoming space where children can grow and learn
Enforce safety guidelines to ensure a secure space for all
You will be able to follow our development pathways to learn new skills and build your career
ABOUT YOU
We’re looking for someone aged 18-26* who is an Australian or New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident and:
Is enthusiastic
Has empathy and emotional intelligence
Is a reliable team player
Has strong communication skills
Is creative and adaptable
Mandatory Requirements:
To work in this role, you’ll need to provide two work or professional references, plus hold (or be willing to get) a current Working With Children Check (or relevant state equivalent) and a Police Check. Y Careers makes it easy by covering the cost and helping you every step of the way.

The National Child Safety Training is an industry requirement for people working in ECEC and OSHC. While it’s not required at application stage, interested candidates may choose to complete the free online training to learn more about child safe practices and working in the sector.
